Remember how the world around you became a gallery of gorgeous visuals?

“Remember when you got your first camera? Remember how the world around you became a gallery of gorgeous visuals? Remember how your soul came alive? The passion that came alive? ”

This is how Pearl Street Gallery featured photographer, Gavin McCue, describes the joy of photography. As a gallery highlighting the beauty of the local Driftless region, Pearl Street Gallery would be incomplete without glimpses of local wildlife and striking landscapes. Gavin provides this look into the Wisconsin wild, with incredible shots ranging from loons and songbirds to grizzly bears and white-tailed deer.

Though Gavin has an impressive range of wildlife in his portfolio, his camera is most often turned toward eagles and owls, resulting in photos showing the life of owl nestlings, snapping shots mid-flight during eagles’ morning hunts, just barely capturing the moment a gnatcatcher perched on a barred owl’s head, and much more.

From breathtaking local landscapes to eagles fighting over hunting territory on the Wisconsin River, Gavin’s contributions to Pearl Street Gallery are invaluable treasures of Driftless region photography and pay tribute to the extraordinary natural beauty of the Midwest.
